أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقُومُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَدًّا "

Ubayd Allah ibn Abd al-Majid al-Hanafi told us, Ibn Abi Dhib told us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Ata, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman bin Thawban, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “did not stand for prayer without raising his hands outstretched.”
