أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيَقُولُ :" لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا، فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ، لِيَلِيَنِّي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الْأَحْلَامِ وَالنُّهَى، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ".
قَالَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ : فَأَنْتُمْ الْيَوْمَ أَشَدُّ اخْتِلَافًا

Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Amara bin Umayr, on the authority of Abu Muammar, on the authority of Abu Masoud Al-Ansari He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to wipe our shoulders during prayer and say: “Do not disagree, for your hearts will disagree. May those of you be gentle with me.” Dreams and prohibitions, then those after them, then those after them.”
Abu Masoud said: Today you are more divided.
