أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْهَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَانِي فَيَجْمَعُوا حَطَبًا، فَآمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، ثُمَّ أُخَالِفَ إِلَى أَقْوَامٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ، لَوْ كَانَ عَرْقًا سَمِينًا، أَوْ مُعَرَّقَتَيْنِ لَشَهِدُوهَا، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا، لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا "

Abu Asim told us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “ I was about to order my boys to gather firewood, then I would order a man to lead the people in prayer, then I would go to people who would neglect this prayer. So I will burn down upon them their houses. If they had been a fat man or two, they would have witnessed it, and if they had known what was in them, they would have come to them, even if they had crawled.”
