أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ : رَجُلٌ صَلَّى فِي بَيْتِهِ، ثُمَّ أَدْرَكَ الْإِمَامَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، أَيُصَلِّي مَعَهُ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ : بِأَيَّتِهِمَا يَحْتَسِبُ؟ قَالَ : بِالَّتِي صَلَّى مَعَ الْإِمَامِ، فَإِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الْجَمِيعِ تَزِيدُ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِ وَحْدَهُ بِضْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ جُزْءًا "

Yazid ibn Harun informed us, Dawud ibn Abi Hind informed us, he said: I said to Sa`id ibn al-Musayyab: A man prayed in his house, then he realized The imam is praying, should he pray with him? He said: Yes, I said: Which of them does he count with? He said: By the way he prayed with the imam, for Abu Hurairah told us that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “A man’s prayer in a row exceeds His prayer alone has twenty-four parts.”
