أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَجُلٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ لَا أَعْلَمُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِمَّنْ يُصَلِّي إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ أَبْعَدَ مَنْزِلًا مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنْهُ، وَكَانَ يُصَلَّي الصَّلَوَاتِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : لَوْ ابْتَعْتَ حِمَارًا تَرْكَبُهُ فِي الرَّمْضَاءِ وَالظَّلْمَاءِ؟ قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ مَنْزِلِي بِلِزْقِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَأُخْبِرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَيْمَا يُكْتَبَ أَثَرِي وَخُطَايَ، وَرُجُوعِي إِلَى أَهْلِي، وَإِقْبَالِي وَإِدْبَارِي، أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" أَنْطَاكَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ، وَأَعْطَاكَ مَا احْتَسَبْتَ أَجْمَعَ " أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ

Yazid bin Harun told us, Al-Taymi told us, on the authority of Abu Uthman, on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka’b, he said: There was a man in Medina, I do not know. In Medina, one of those who prayed facing the Qiblah had a house furthest from the mosque, and he used to perform the prayers with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and it was said Him: If you bought a donkey to ride it in the sun and in the dark? He said: By God, I am not pleased that my house is next to the mosque. So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was informed of that and he asked him about that, and he said: Oh. Messenger of God, so that my tracks, my steps, my return to my family, my arrival and my departure, are recorded, or as he said.
Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “God has given you all of that, and He has given you all that you sought,” or as he said.
