Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #667

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، وَمَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَجُلٍ بِمَكَّةَ" فَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ "، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا؟ وَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ
Musaddad narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Al-Hakam, and Mansour, on the authority of Mujahid, on the authority of Abu Muammar, he said: I prayed behind a man In Mecca, he made two salutations. I mentioned that to Abdullah, and he said: How did he hang it? Al-Hakam said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to do that.
