أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ فِي عَشَرَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَحَدُهُمْ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ : أَنَا أَعْلَمُكُمْ بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
فَقَالُوا : لِمَ؟ فَمَا كُنْتَ أَكْثَرَنَا لَهُ تَبَعَةً، وَلَا أَقْدَمَنَا لَهُ صُحْبَةً؟ قَالَ : بَلَى.
قَالُوا : فَاعْرِضْ.
قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِهِمَا مَنْكِبَيْهِ، ثُمَّ كَبَّرُ حَتَّى يَقَرَّ كُلُّ عَظْمٍ فِي مَوْضِعِهِ، ثُمَّ يَقْرَأُ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِهِمَا مَنْكِبَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ وَيَضَعُ رَاحَتَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ كُلُّ عَظْمٍ إِلَى مَوْضِعِهِ، وَلَا يُصَوِّبُ رَأْسَهُ وَلَا يُقْنِعُ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَيَقُولُ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِهِمَا مَنْكِبَيْهِ يَظُنُّ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ كُلُّ عَظْمٍ إِلَى مَوْضِعِهِ مُعْتَدِلًا ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، ثُمَّ يَهْوِي إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَيُجَافِي يَدَيْهِ عَنْ جَنْبَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَسْجُدُ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَيَثْنِي رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى فَيَقْعُدُ عَلَيْهَا، وَيَفْتَحُ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ، ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فَيَسْجُدُ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَيَقُولُ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَيَثْنِي رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى فَيَقْعُدُ عَلَيْهَا مُعْتَدِلًا، حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ كُلُّ عَظْمٍ إِلَى مَوْضِعِهِ مُعْتَدِلًا، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَصْنَعُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُخْرَى مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَإِذَا قَامَ مِنْ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ، كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِهِمَا مَنْكِبَيْهِ كَمَا فَعَلَ عِنْدَ افْتِتَاحِ الصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ يَصْنَعُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي بَقِيَّةِ صَلَاتِهِ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَتْ السَّجْدَةُ أَوْ الْقَعْدَةُ الَّتِي يَكُونُ فِيهَا التَّسْلِيمُ، أَخَّرَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى وَجَلَسَ مُتَوَرِّكًا عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ ".
قَالَ : قَالُوا : صَدَقْتَ، هَكَذَا كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
فَقَالُوا : لِمَ؟ فَمَا كُنْتَ أَكْثَرَنَا لَهُ تَبَعَةً، وَلَا أَقْدَمَنَا لَهُ صُحْبَةً؟ قَالَ : بَلَى.

قَالَ : قَالُوا : صَدَقْتَ، هَكَذَا كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Abu Asim told us, on the authority of Abd al-Hamid bin Jaafar, Muhammad bin Amr bin Ata’ told me, he said: I heard Abu Hamid al-Sa’idi in Ten of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, one of them Abu Qatada, said: I inform you of the prayer of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
They said: Why? Why did we follow him so much, nor did we give him so much companionship? He said: Yes.

He said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, stood up to pray, he would raise his hands until they were in line with his shoulders, then he would say “Allahu Akbar” until each person said “Allahu Akbar.” A bone in its place, then he recites, then he says “Allahu Akbar” and raises his hands until they are in line with his shoulders, then he kneels and places his palms on his knees. Until every bone returns to its place, and he does not direct his head or be content, then he raises his head and says: God hears those who praise Him, then he raises His hands until he was in line with his shoulders. Abu Asim thinks that he said: until every bone returns to its place, straight. Then he says: God. He says Akbar, then he descends to the ground and spreads his hands away from his sides, then he prostrates, then he raises his head and bends his left leg and sits. And he opens his toes when he prostrates, then he prostrates again, then he raises his head and says: God is great, and bends his foot. The left hand, and he sits on it upright, until every bone returns to its upright place, then he stands up and does the same in the other rak’ah. So when he stands up from the two prostrations, he says “Allahu Akbar” and raises his hands until they are in line with his shoulders, as he did at the beginning of the prayer, then he does the same in For the rest of his prayer, even if it was a prostration or a sitting in which the salutation is made, he trailed his left leg and sat, leaning on his side.
