حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ السُّوَائِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، قَالَ : فَإِذَا رَجُلَانِ حِينَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدَانِ فِي نَاحِيَةٍ لَمْ يُصَلِّيَا، قَالَ : فَدَعَاهُمَا، فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا تُرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا.
قَالَ : " مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا؟ " قَالَا : صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا، قَالَ : " فَلَا تَفْعَلَا،إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُمَا الْإِمَامَ، فَصَلِّيَا فَإِنَّهَا لَكُمَا نَافِلَةٌ ".
قَالَ : فَقَامَ النَّاسُ يَأْخُذُونَ بِيَدِهِ يَمْسَحُونَ بِهَا وُجُوهَهُمْ، قَالَ : فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ فَمَسَحْتُ بِهَا وَجْهِي، فَإِذَا هِيَ أَبْرَدُ مِنْ الثَّلْجِ، وَأَطْيَبُ رِيحًا مِنْ الْمِسْكِ

Hashim bin Al-Qasim told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Ali bin Ata’, he said: I heard Jabir bin Yazid bin Al-Aswad Al-Sawa’i speaking, On the authority of his father, that he prayed the morning prayer with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed, two men were sitting in a On the one hand, they did not pray. He said: So he called them, and brought them while their hopes were trembling.
He said: “What prevented you from praying?” They said: We prayed on our journeys. He said: “Do not do that. If you prayed on your journeys and then reached the imam, So pray, for it is a voluntary prayer for you.”
He said: Then the people stood up, taking his hand and wiping their faces with it. He said: So I took his hand and wiped my face with it, and it was colder than Snow, and the sweetest scent of musk.
