قَالَ : فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ : " صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ جَالِسًا نِصْفُ الصَّلَاةِ "، وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي جَالِسًا؟ قَالَ : " أَجَلْ، وَلَكِنِّيلَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ "

He said: So I entered upon the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was praying sitting, and I said: O Messenger of God, I have heard that you said: “A man’s prayer while sitting.” Half of the prayer, and you pray sitting? He said: “Yes, but I am not like one of you.”
