أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي زَيْدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مَنْ يَبِيعُ، أَوْ يَبْتَاعُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقُولُوا : لَا أَرْبَحَ اللَّهُ تِجَارَتَكَ، وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مَنْ يَنْشُدُ فِيهِ الضَّالَّةَ، فَقُولُوا : لَا أَدَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ "

Al-Hasan bin Abi Zaid Al-Kufi told us, Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad told us, Yazid bin Khusayfa told me, on the authority of Muhammad bin Abd Al-Rahman bin Thawban, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If you see someone selling or buying in… The mosque, so say: May God not make you profit in your business, and if you see someone in it seeking a lost item, say: May God not make you profit.”
