Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #827

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبأَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ".
قَالَ يَحْيَى : وَالْأَسْوَدَيْنِ : الْحَيَّةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ
Yazid bin Harun informed us, Hisham informed us, on the authority of Yahya, on the authority of Dammam, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, He said: “He ordered the killing of the two lions during prayer.”
Yahya said: And the two lions: the snake and the scorpion.
