حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ بِجَمْعٍ، فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا "

Yahya bin Hassan told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed, on the authority of Adi bin Thabit, on the authority of Abdullah bin Yazid. Al-Khattimi, on the authority of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “prayed the Maghrib and Isha’ prayers in unison, so he combined them.”
