Abu Nu`aym told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Musab bin Saad, on the authority of Saad, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked: Which People are more severely afflicted? He said: “The prophets, then the next and the next. A man will be tested according to his religion. If there is firmness in his religion, add more firmness. And if there is any weakness in his religion, it will be lightened for him, and the affliction will continue with the servant until he walks on the earth without a sin.”
