أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ، قَالَ : " يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ ، إِنَّكَمَا دَعَوْتَنِي وَرَجَوْتَنِي، غَفَرْتُ لَكَ مَا كَانَ فِيكَ.
ابْنَ آدَمَ ، إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَلْقَانِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا، لَقِيتُكَ بِقُرَابِهَا مَغْفِرَةً بَعْدَ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِي شَيْئًا، ابْنَ آدَمَ ، إِنَّكَ إِنْ تُذْنِبْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ ذَنْبُكَ عَنَانَ السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ تَسْتَغْفِرُنِي أَغْفِرْ لَكَ وَلَا أُبَالِي "

Abu al-Numan told us, Mahdi told us, Ghaylan told us, on the authority of Shahr ibn Hawshab, on the authority of Maadi Karb, on the authority of Abu Dhar, on the authority of the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, narrating it on the authority of his Lord. He said: “O son of Adam, as you called upon Me and hoped in Me, I have forgiven you for whatever was in you.
Son of Adam, if you meet Me with sins nearly as close to the earth, I will meet you with forgiveness nearly as great as it, after you have not associated anything with Me. Son of Adam, if You sin until your sin reaches the clouds of the sky, then you ask for My forgiveness and I will forgive you and I will not care.”
