حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْمَاجِشُونُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ :" لَوْ هَلَكَ عُثْمَانُ، وَزَيْدٌ فِي بَعْضِ الزَّمَانِ، لَهَلَكَ عِلْمُ الْفَرَائِضِ، لَقَدْ أَتَى عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ، وَمَا يَعْلَمُهَا غَيْرُهُمَا "

Muhammad bin Issa narrated to us, Yusuf Al-Majshun narrated to us, he said: Ibn Shihab said: “If Uthman and Zaid had perished in some time, knowledge would have perished.” The obligatory duties, a time has come upon the people, and no one knows them except them.”
