Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2266

حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله بن جعفر الرقي ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ : " فِي رَجُلٍ اشْتَرَى ابْنَهُ فِي مَرَضِهِ، قَالَ :إِنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ الثُّلُثِ وَرِثَهُ، وَإِنْ وَقَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ السِّعَايَةُ لَمْ يَرِثْ "
Abdullah bin Jaafar Al-Raqqi and Saeed bin Al-Mughirah told us, on the authority of Ibn Al-Mubarak, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of Hammad, on the authority of Ibrahim: “Concerning a man who bought his son in His illness, he said: If he leaves the third, he inherits it, and if the burden falls upon him, he does not inherit.
