Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2269

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حدثنا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي رَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ مَمْلُوكًا، ثُمَّ مَاتَ الْمَوْلَى وَالْمَمْلُوكُ، وَتَرَكَ الْمُعْتِقُ أَبَاهُ وَابْنَهُ، قَالَا :" الْمَالُ لِلِابْنِ "
Muhammad bin Issa told us, Hushaym told us, Mansour told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan, and Muhammad bin Salem, on the authority of Al-Sha’abi, about a man who freed a mamluk, then The master and the slave died, and the freedman left behind his father and son. They said: “The money belongs to the son.”
