حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى عُمَر ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَعَلِيٌّ ، وَزَيْدٌ لِلْكُبْرِ بِالْوَلَاءِ "

Muhammad ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Ali ibn Mushar, on the authority of Ash’ath, on the authority of Ash-Shu’bi, who said: “Umar, Abdullah, Ali, and Zaid passed away. To be proud of loyalty.”
