حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : رَمَى رَجُلٌ أُمَّهُ بِحَجَرٍ فَقَتَلَهَا، فَطَلَبَ مِيرَاثَهُ مِنْ إِخْوَتِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ إِخْوَتُهُ : لَا مِيرَاثَ لَكَ، فَارْتَفَعُوا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ،" فَجَعَلَ عَلَيْهِ الدِّيَةَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ "

Muhammad ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Ali ibn Mushar, on the authority of Sa`id, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Khalas, on the authority of Ali, who said: A man threw a stone at his mother. So he killed her, and he asked for his inheritance from his brothers, and his brothers said to him: You have no inheritance, so they went to Ali. So he imposed blood money on him and took him out of inheritance
