قَالَ مَرْوَانُ : سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ

Marwan bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Sa`id, on the authority of Al-Zuhri: He was asked about a child born of adultery who dies. He said: “If he is the son of an Arab woman, and his mother inherits a third, The rest of his money was placed in the treasury, and if he was the son of a master, his mother inherited a third, and her masters who freed her inherited what remained.
Marwan said: I heard Malik say that.
