أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَعَلِيٍّ ، وَزَيْدٍ ، أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا :" الْوَلَاءُ لِلْكُبْرِ، وَلَا يَرِثُونَ النِّسَاءَ مِنْ الْوَلَاءِ إِلَّا مَا أَعْتَقْنَ، أَوْ كَاتَبْنَ "

Muhammad bin Isa told us, Abd al-Salam bin Harb told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Omar, Ali, and Zaid, that they said “Loyalty is to the elders, and they do not inherit from women of loyalty unless they are emancipated, or are written down.”
