حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ : " فِي مَمْلُوكٍ تُوُفِّيَ وَلَهُ أَبٌ حُرٌّ، وَلَهُ بَنُونَ مِنْ امْرَأَةٍ حُرَّةٍ، لِمَنْ وَلَاءُ وَلَدِهِ؟ قَالَ :لِمَوَالِي الْجَدِّ "

Abu Nu`aym told us, Zakaria told us, on the authority of Amer: “In a slave who died and had a free father and children by a free woman, to whom is his son’s loyalty? He said: “For the grandfather’s loyalists.”
