حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ :" إِذَا كَانَتْ الْحُرَّةُ تَحْتَ الْمَمْلُوكِ، فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ غُلَامًا، فَإِنَّهُ يُعْتَقُ بِعِتْقِ أُمِّهِ، وَوَلَاؤُهُ لِمَوَالِي أُمِّهِ، فَإِذَا أُعْتِقَ الْأَبُ، جَرَّ الْوَلَاءَ إِلَى مَوَالِي أَبِيهِ "

Ja'far bin Aoun told us, on the authority of Al-A'mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, he said: Omar said: "If a free woman is married to a slave, she gives birth to him a boy. He is emancipated by emancipating his mother, and his loyalty is to his mother’s slave, so if the father is emancipated, the loyalty goes to his father’s slave.”
