حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ يُقَالُ :" مَنْ أَوْصَى بِوَصِيَّةٍ فَلَمْ يَجُرْ، وَلَمْ يَحِفْ، كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلُ مَا أَنْ لَوْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فِي حَيَاتِهِ "

Abu Al-Numan narrated to us, Hammad bin Zaid narrated to us, Dawud bin Abi Hind narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, he said: It was said: “Whoever recommends With a will, and he was not ungrateful, nor was he unjust, he would have had the same reward as if he had given it in charity during his lifetime.”
