حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ وَصِيَّتَهُ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ : " هَذَا مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ وَأَشْهَدَ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ، وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا، وَجَازِيًا لِعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِينَ وَمُثِيبًابِأَنِّي رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا، وَإِنِّي آمُرُ نَفْسِي وَمَنْ أَطَاعَنِي أَنْ نَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ فِي الْعَابِدِينَ، وَنَحْمَدَهُ فِي الْحَامِدِينَ، وَأَنْ نَنْصَحَ لِجَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ "

Jafar bin Aoun told us, Abu Hayyan Al-Taymi told us, on the authority of his father, he said: Al-Rabi’ bin Khuthaym wrote his will: In the name of God, the Most Gracious. The Most Merciful: “This is what Al-Rabi’ bin Khuthaym recommended and God bore witness to, and God is sufficient as a witness and a rewarder of His righteous servants.” And I bear witness that I am satisfied with God as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad as my Prophet, and I command myself and those who obey me to worship God in worshippers, and we praise Him among those who praise Him, and that we advise the community of Muslims.”
