Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2447

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : " أَنَّ عَلِيًّا دَخَلَ عَلَى مَرِيضٍ، فَذَكَرُوا لَهُ الْوَصِيَّةَ، فَقال عَلِيٌّ :قَالَ اللَّهُ : # إِنْ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا سورة البقرة آية 180 #، وَلَا أُرَاهُ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا ".
قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : فَحَفِظْتُ أَنَّهُ تَرَكَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِ مِائَةٍ
Abu Al-Numan told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Hisham, on the authority of his father: “Ali came to see a sick person, and they mentioned the will to him, and he said Ali: God said: “If he leaves good.” Surat Al-Baqarah, verse 180, “And I do not see him leaving good.”
Hammad said: I remembered that he left more than seven hundred.
