Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Warqa’ told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Najih, on the authority of Ata’, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said: “The money was for the child. The bequest was for the parents and relatives, so God abrogated from that what He liked, and gave to the male the share of two females, and made For the parents, each of them received a sixth and a third, and for the woman he gave an eighth and a quarter, and for the husband a half and a quarter.”
