Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2522

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، " سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَوْصَى وَلَهُ أَخٌ مُوسِرٌ، أَيُوصِ لَهُ؟ قَالَ :نَعَمْ، وَإِنْ كَانَ رَبَّ عِشْرِينَ أَلْفًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَإِنْ كَانَ رَبَّ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ، فَإِنَّ غِنَاهُ لَا يَمْنَعُهُ الْحَقَّ "
Suleiman bin Harb told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Humaid, on the authority of Al-Hasan, “He was asked about a man who made a will and has a well-off brother, should he make a bequest to him? He said: Yes, even if he is the master of twenty thousand. Then he said: Even if he is the master of a hundred thousand, then his wealth does not prevent him from the truth.
