Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2628

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" فَاتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ هِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي "
Muhammad bin Saeed narrated to us, Abu Usama narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-Hamid bin Jaafar, on the authority of Al-Ala bin Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka’b, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The opening of the Book is the seven repeated verses.”
