حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا ، يَقُولُ :" مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَعْقِلُ يَنَامُ، حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْآيَاتِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، وَإِنَّهُنَّ لَمِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ "

Saeed bin Amir told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of someone who heard Ali say: “I did not see any rational person sleeping until he recited… These verses are from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah, and indeed they are a treasure under the Throne.”
