أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" عَفَوْتُ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ، هَاتُوا صَدَقَةَ الرِّقَةِ مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمٌ، وَلَيْسَ فِي تِسْعِينَ وَمِئَةٍ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ مِائَتَيْنِ "

Al-Mu'alla bin Asad told us, Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, on the authority of Ali, who submitted it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I pardoned the zakat on horses and slaves. Give the zakat on horses and slaves. For every forty dirhams, give one dirham, and not one hundred and ninety dirhams. until you reach two hundred.”
