Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #988

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ الرَّبَابِ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ يَرْفَعُهُ، قَالَ :" الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ اثْنَتَانِ : صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ "
Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, on the authority of Ibn Uyaynah, he said: I heard it from Al-Thawri, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Hafsa bint Sirin, on the authority of Al-Rubaab, On the authority of Salman bin Amir Al-Dhabi, who said: “Charity given to the poor is charity, and it is twofold charity given to a relative: charity and upholding ties of kinship.”
