Abdullah bin Saleh told us, Al-Layth told me, Aqeel told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, Abu Salamah bin Abdul Rahman told me, Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade the connection between ties.
Then some Muslim men said to him: You are continuing.
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I am not like you. I refuse to have my Lord feed me and give me drink.”
When they refused to stop arriving, he continued with them for a day and then another day. Then they saw the crescent, so he said: “If it were delayed, I would have given you more.” Like a punishment for them when they refused to stop.
