  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #251

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، قَالَ تَمَارَوْا فِي الْغُسْلِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ إِنِّي لأَغْسِلُ كَذَا وَكَذَا ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلاَثَ أَكُفٍّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that Jubair bin Mut'im said: "They argued about Ghusl in the presence of the messenger of Allah (ﷺ). One of the people said: 'I perform Ghusl in such-and-such a manner.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water over my head.'"

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ سَكْتَتَانِ حَفِظْتُهُمَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ وَقَالَ حَفِظْنَا سَكْتَةً ‏.‏ فَكَتَبْنَا إِلَى أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَكَتَبَ أُبَىٌّ أَنْ حَفِظَ سَمُرَةُ ‏.‏ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ فَقُلْنَا لِقَتَادَةَ مَا هَاتَانِ السَّكْتَتَانِ قَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي صَلاَتِهِ وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَإِذَا قَرَأَ ‏:‏ ‏(‏وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ ‏)‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ أَنْ يَسْكُتَ حَتَّى يَتَرَادَّ إِلَيْهِ نَفَسُهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ سَمُرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ‏.‏ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ لِلإِمَامِ أَنْ يَسْكُتَ بَعْدَ مَا يَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلاَةَ وَبَعْدَ الْفَرَاغِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ ‏.‏ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ وَأَصْحَابُنَا ‏.‏
    Al-Hasan narrated that : Samurah said: "there are two pauses that I preserved from Allah's Messenger." But Imran bin Husain rejected that and said: "We preserved one pause." "So we wrote to Ubayy bin Ka'b in Al-Madinah. Ubayy wrote that Samurah was correct." Sa'eed said: "We said to Qatadah: 'What are those two pauses?' He said: 'When he entered into his Salat, and when he finished his recitation.' Then he (Qatadah) said after that: 'And when he recited (Nor those who went astray.)' And he said: 'He liked to pause when he finished the recitation until he caught his breath.'"

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #251

    أَخْبَرَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ :" الْمُسْتَحَاضَةُ وَالَّتِي لَا يَسْتَقِيمُ لَهَا حَيْضٌ فَتَحِيضُ فِي شَهْرٍ مَرَّةً وَفِي الشَّهْرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، عِدَّتُهَا ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ "
    Khalifa bin Khayyat told us, Gandar told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Ikrimah, he said: “The woman who is suffering from istihaadah and the one who does not “Her menstruation will continue, and she will menstruate once in a month and twice in a month. Her waiting period is three months.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُشَرِّبُ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَحْثِي عَلَيْهِ ثَلاَثًا ‏.‏
    It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to soak his head, then he would pour water over it three times.

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَأَبِي، سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏
    "‏ إِذَا أَمَّنَ الإِمَامُ فَأَمِّنُوا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ وَافَقَ تَأْمِينُهُ تَأْمِينَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
    Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet said "When the Imam says 'Amin' then (all of you) say 'Amin.' For whoever's 'Amin' concurs with the 'Amin' of the angels, then his past sins will be forgiven."

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #250

    أَخْبَرَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ :" إِذَا طَلَّقَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَحَاضَتْ حَيْضَةً أَوْ حَيْضَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ ارْتَفَعَتْ حَيْضَتُهَا إِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ كِبَرٍ، اعْتَدَّتْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ شَابَّةً وَارْتَابَتْ، اعْتَدَّتْ سَنَةً بَعْدَ الرِّيبَةِ "
    Nasr bin Ali told us, Abd al-Ala told us, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of al-Zuhri, who said: “If a man divorces his wife and she menstruates or Two menstrual periods, then her menstruation stopped. If this was due to old age, she should observe the waiting period for three months, and if she was young and doubtful, she should observe the waiting period for a year after "suspicion"

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ، – رضى الله عنها – عَنْ غُسْلِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وَيُخَلِّلُ رَأْسَهُ حَتَّى يَصِلَ إِلَى شَعْرِهِ ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ ‏.‏
    'Aishah narrated concerning the Ghusl of the Prophet (ﷺ) from Janabah, that he used to wash his hands and perform Wudu', then he would run (his fingers) through his (hair on his) head so that it reaches all of his hair, then he would pour water over his entire body.

  • Jami’ al-Tirmidhi – جامع الترمذي – Hadith #249

    قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُجْرِ بْنِ عَنْبَسٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ‏.‏
    (Another chain) from Wa'il bin Hujr who narrated it from : the Prophet, and it is similar to the narrations of Sufyan from Salamah bin Kuhail

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #249

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ الْمَرْأَةِ تُطَلَّقُ وَهِيَ الشَّابَّةٌ فترتفع حيضتها من غير كبر، قَالَ :" مِنْ غَيْرِ حَيْضٍ تَحَيَّضُ؟ ! "، وَقَالَ طَاوُسٌ : " ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ "
    Abu Al-Numan told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, Amr bin Dinar told us, he said: Jabir bin Zaid was asked about a woman who is divorced while she is A young woman’s menstruation ceases without aging. He said: “Does she menstruate without menstruation?” Tawus said: “Three months.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ كَمَا يَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ أَصَابِعَهُ الْمَاءَ فَيُخَلِّلُ بِهَا أُصُولَ شَعْرِهِ ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلاَثَ غُرَفٍ ثُمَّ يُفِيضُ الْمَاءَ عَلَى جَسَدِهِ كُلِّهِ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from 'Aishah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed Ghusl from Janabah he would start by washing his hands, then he would perform Wudu' as for prayer, then he would dip his fingers in the water, then run them through his hair, then he would pour water over his head three times, then he would pour water over his entire body.
