  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #191

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَاجِيَةَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا طَالِبٍ مَاتَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ اذْهَبْ فَوَارِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ إِنَّهُ مَاتَ مُشْرِكًا ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ اذْهَبْ فَوَارِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَلَمَّا وَارَيْتُهُ رَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لِي ‏"‏ اغْتَسِلْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that Abbu Ishaq said: "I heard Najiyah bin Ka'b narrating from 'Ali that he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: 'Abu Talib has died.' He said: 'Go and bury him.' He said: 'He died as an idolator.' He said: 'Go and bury him.' ('Ali said:) 'When I had buried him I went back to him and he said to me: 'Perform Ghusl.'"

  • Jami’ al-Tirmidhi – جامع الترمذي – Hadith #191

    حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي وَجَدِّي، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَقْعَدَهُ وَأَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ الأَذَانَ حَرْفًا حَرْفًا ‏.‏ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مِثْلَ أَذَانِنَا ‏.‏ قَالَ بِشْرٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَعِدْ عَلَىَّ ‏.‏ فَوَصَفَ الأَذَانَ بِالتَّرْجِيعِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ فِي الأَذَانِ حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ‏.‏ وَعَلَيْهِ الْعَمَلُ بِمَكَّةَ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ ‏.‏
    Abu Mahdhurah narrated that : Allah's Messenger sat with him and taught him the Adhan word for word. Ibrahim said, "It is the same as our Adhan." Bishr said: "So I said to him, 'Repeat it to me.' So he described the Adhan with At-Tarjl'."

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #191

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنِيهِ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فِي امْرَأَةٍ تَرَكَهَا الْحَيْضُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، ثُمَّ رَأَتْ الدَّمَ" فَأَمَرَ فِيهَا بِشَأْنِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ "
    Muhammad bin Issa told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, about a gift in the case of a woman who stopped menstruating at thirty A year, then she saw blood, so he gave her an order regarding the woman suffering from menstrual bleeding.

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ إِنَّ ثُمَامَةَ بْنَ أُثَالٍ الْحَنَفِيَّ انْطَلَقَ إِلَى نَجْلٍ قَرِيبٍ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ وَجْهٌ أَبْغَضَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ وَجْهِكَ فَقَدْ أَصْبَحَ وَجْهُكَ أَحَبَّ الْوُجُوهِ كُلِّهَا إِلَىَّ وَإِنَّ خَيْلَكَ أَخَذَتْنِي وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ الْعُمْرَةَ فَمَاذَا تَرَى فَبَشَّرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَعْتَمِرَ ‏.‏ مُخْتَصِرٌ ‏.‏
    Abu Hurairah said: "Thumamah bin Uthal Al-Hanafi went to fetch some water that was near the Masjid and performed Ghusl, then he entered the Masjid and said: 'Ashhadu an la ila ha ill-Allah was ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger), O Muhammad, by Allah! There was no face on the face of the Earth that was more hateful to me than your face, not now your face has become the most beloved of all faces to me. You cavalry captured me and I want to perform 'Umrah. What do you think? The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him glad tidings and told him to perform 'Umarah."

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنَا نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ حِينَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ يَجْتَمِعُونَ فَيَتَحَيَّنُونَ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَلَيْسَ يُنَادِي بِهَا أَحَدٌ فَتَكَلَّمُوا يَوْمًا فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ اتَّخِذُوا نَاقُوسًا مِثْلَ نَاقُوسِ النَّصَارَى ‏.‏ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ اتَّخِذُوا قَرْنًا مِثْلَ قَرْنِ الْيَهُودِ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَوَلاَ تَبْعَثُونَ رَجُلاً يُنَادِي بِالصَّلاَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ يَا بِلاَلُ قُمْ فَنَادِ بِالصَّلاَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏.‏
    Ibn Umar narrated: "When the Muslims arrived in AI-Madinah, they used to assemble for the Salat, and guess the time for it there was no one who called for it (the prayer). One day they discussed that and some of them said that they should use a bell like the bell the Christians use. Others said they should use a trumpet like the horn the Jews use. But Umar said: 'Wouldn't it better if we had a man call for the prayer?'" He said: "So Allah's Messenger said: 'O Bilal! Stand up and call for the Salat.'"

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #190

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فِي الْكَبِيرَةِ تَرَى الدَّمَ، قَالَ :" لَا نَرَاهُ حَيْضًا "
    Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Layth, on the authority of Ata’ who sees blood in a woman’s uterus. He said: “We do not see it as menstruation.”

  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #189

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَغَرِّ، – وَهُوَ ابْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ – عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، أَنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from Qais bin 'Asim that he accepted Islam, and the Prophet commanded him to perform Ghusl with water and lotus leaves.

    حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَمَّا أَصْبَحْنَا أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِالرُّؤْيَا فَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَرُؤْيَا حَقٍّ فَقُمْ مَعَ بِلاَلٍ فَإِنَّهُ أَنْدَى وَأَمَدُّ صَوْتًا مِنْكَ فَأَلْقِ عَلَيْهِ مَا قِيلَ لَكَ وَلْيُنَادِ بِذَلِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ نِدَاءَ بِلاَلٍ بِالصَّلاَةِ خَرَجَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي قَالَ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ فَذَلِكَ أَثْبَتُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ أَتَمَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَأَطْوَلَ وَذَكَرَ فِيهِ قِصَّةَ الأَذَانِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالإِقَامَةِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً ‏.‏ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ وَيُقَالُ ابْنُ عَبْدِ رَبٍّ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا يَصِحُّ إِلاَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الْوَاحِدَ فِي الأَذَانِ ‏.‏ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ لَهُ أَحَادِيثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ عَمُّ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ‏.‏
    Albdullah bin Zaid narrated: "When we awoke, we went to Allah's Messenger to inform him of the dream. He said: 'Indeed this dream is true. So go to Bilal, for he has a better and louder voice than you. Convey to him what was said to you, so that he may call (to the prayer) with that.'" He said: "When Umar bin Al-Khattab heard Bilal calling for the prayer he went to Allah's Messenger, and he was dragging his Izar, (as he was hurrying) saying: 'O Allah's Messenger! By the One Who sent you with the truth! I dreamt the same as what he said.''' He said: "So Allah's Messenger said: 'To Allah is the praise, so that confirms it even more.'''

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #189

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ سُفْيَانُ :" إِذَا كَانَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ أَوَّلَ مَا تَحِيضُ تَجْلِسُ فِي الْحَيْضِ مِنْ نَحْوِ نِسَائِهَا "، سُئِلَ عَبْد اللَّهِ عَنْ هَذَا، فَقَالَ : " هُوَ أَشْبَهُ الْأَشْيَاءِ "
    Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us, he said: Sufyan said: “If a woman first menstruates, she will sit during her period in the same way as her wives.” He was asked. Abdullah talked about this, and he said: “It is the most similar of things.”

  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #188

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَرِبَ لَبَنًا ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَمَضْمَضَ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏
    "‏ إِنَّ لَهُ دَسَمًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    The Apostle (ﷺ) took milk and then called for water and rinsed (his mouth) and said: It contains greasiness.
