  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #171

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو رَوْقٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُقَبِّلُ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِهِ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لَيْسَ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ حَدِيثٌ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَإِنَ كَانَ مُرْسَلاً وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ حَدِيثُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ هَذَا وَحَدِيثُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ تُصَلِّي وَإِنْ قَطَرَ الدَّمُ عَلَى الْحَصِيرِ لاَ شَىْءَ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to kiss one of his wives then pray without performing Wudu'.
    Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: "There is nothing for this chapter which is better than this hadith, even though it is Mursal. And Al-A'mash reported this Hadith from Habib bin Abi Thabit, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah.
    Yahya Al-Qattan said: "This is the Hadith of Habib from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah. And the Hadith of Habib from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah: "She prays even if blood drips on the mat" is nothing.

    حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَهُ ‏
    "‏ يَا عَلِيُّ ثَلاَثٌ لاَ تُؤَخِّرْهَا الصَّلاَةُ إِذَا آنَتْ وَالْجَنَازَةُ إِذَا حَضَرَتْ وَالأَيِّمُ إِذَا وَجَدْتَ لَهَا كُفْؤًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ حَسَنٌ ‏.‏
    Ali bin AbI Talib narrated that : the Prophet said to him: 'Ali! Three are not to be delayed: Salat when its time comes, a funeral whet it (a prepared body) is present, and the (marriage of a) single woman when there is an equal for her."

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ الْأَعْوَرُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ قَمِيرَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ :" الْمُسْتَحَاضَةُ لَا يَأْتِيهَا زَوْجُهَا "
    Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Hajjaj Al-Awar told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abd Al-Malik bin Maysarah, on the authority of Al-Sha’abi, on the authority of Qumair On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: “A woman who undergoes menstruation does not have intercourse with her husband.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، وَنُصَيْرُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، – وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ – قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، – رضى الله عنها – قَالَتْ فَقَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَجَعَلْتُ أَطْلُبُهُ بِيَدِي فَوَقَعَتْ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ وَهُمَا مَنْصُوبَتَانِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ يَقُولُ ‏
    "‏ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لاَ أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that 'Aishah said: "I noticed the Prophet (ﷺ) was not there one night, so I started looking for him with my hand. My hand touched his feet and they were held upright, and he was prostrating and saying: 'I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough, You are as You have praised yourself.'"

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيِّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ، وَكَانَتْ، مِمَّنْ بَايَعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ ‏
    "‏ الصَّلاَةُ لأَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    Umm Farwah – and she was one of those who gave pledge of allegiance to the Prophet – narrated: "The Prophet was asked: 'Which deed is the best?' So he said: 'Salat in the beginning of its time.'"

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #170

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ :" الْمُسْتَحَاضَةُ لَا يَأْتِيهَا زَوْجُهَا، وَلَا تَصُومُ ، وَلَا تَمَسُّ الْمُصْحَفَ "
    Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Ibrahim, he said: “The woman who undergoes menstruation does not have sexual intercourse with her husband, and she does not fast.” And do not touch the Qur’an.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَنَامُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرِجْلاَىَ فِي قِبْلَتِهِ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ غَمَزَنِي فَقَبَضْتُ رِجْلَىَّ فَإِذَا قَامَ بَسَطْتُهُمَا وَالْبُيُوتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا مَصَابِيحُ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I used to sleep in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and my feet were in the direction of his Qiblah. When he prostrated he nudged me and I drew up my feet, then when he stood up I stretched them out again. And there were no lamps in the houses at the time."

    حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْمُرُ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي الأَمْرِ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُمَا ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَأَوْسِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ جُعْفِيٍّ يُقَالُ لَهُ قَيْسٌ أَوِ ابْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي قِصَّةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ ‏.‏ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالتَّابِعِينَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ فِي السَّمَرِ بَعْدَ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَكَرِهَ قَوْمٌ مِنْهُمُ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَرَخَّصَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي مَعْنَى الْعِلْمِ وَمَا لاَ بُدَّ مِنْهُ مِنَ الْحَوَائِجِ وَأَكْثَرُ الْحَدِيثِ عَلَى الرُّخْصَةِ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏
    "‏ لاَ سَمَرَ إِلاَّ لِمُصَلٍّ أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated: "Allah's Messenger would talk during the night with Abu Bakr about matters concerning the Muslims while I was with them."

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #169

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ :" كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَغْشَى الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ "
    Affan told us, Wahib told us, on the authority of Khaled, he said: “Muhammad hated for a man to have intercourse with his wife while she was in menstruation.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُونِي مُعْتَرِضَةً بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ غَمَزَ رِجْلِي فَضَمَمْتُهَا إِلَىَّ ثُمَّ يَسْجُدُ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I remember lying in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was praying. When he wanted to prostrate he would nudge my foot and I would draw it up (out of the way) until he had finished prostrating."
