  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #111

    أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، – وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ – عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَوْمًا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ فَرَأَى أَعْقَابَهُمْ تَلُوحُ فَقَالَ ‏
    "‏ وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw some people whose heels were still dry, so he said: 'Woe to the heels from the Fire. Perform Wudu' properly.'"

  • Jami’ al-Tirmidhi – جامع الترمذي – Hadith #111

    حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فِي أَوَّلِ الإِسْلاَمِ ثُمَّ نُسِخَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏ وَهَكَذَا رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْهُمْ أُبَىُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَرَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ ‏.‏ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ عَلَى أَنَّهُ إِذَا جَامَعَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ فِي الْفَرْجِ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِمَا الْغُسْلُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُنْزِلاَ ‏.‏

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَسْتَيْقِظُ فَيَرَى بَلَلًا، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ احْتِلَامًا، قَالَ :" لِيَغْتَسِلْ، فَإِنْ رَأَى احْتِلَامًا، وَلَمْ يَرَ بَلَلًا، فَلَا غُسْلَ عَلَيْهِ "
    Yahya bin Musa told us, Abdul Razzaq told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Omar, on the authority of Al-Qasim, on the authority of Aisha May God be pleased with her, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, regarding a man who wakes up and sees wetness, but he does not mention a wet dream. He said: “Let him wash, and if he sees He had a wet dream and did not see any wetness, so he did not have to wash.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَقِبِ مِنَ النَّارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "Abu Al-Qasim the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Woe to the heels from the Fire.'"

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَعِنْدَهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ : الْمَرْأَةُ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ؟، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ : تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكِ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" مُنْتَصِرًا لِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ بَلْ أَنْتِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكِ، إِنَّ خَيْرَكُنَّ الَّتِي تَسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَعْنِيهَا، إِذَا رَأَتْ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ "، قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ : وَلِلنِّسَاءِ مَاءٌ؟، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ، فَأَنَّى يُشْبِهُهُنَّ الْوَلَدُ؟ إِنَّمَا هُنَّ شَقَائِقُ الرِّجَالِ "
    Muhammad ibn Kathir informed us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha, on the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, who said: I entered The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw Umm Sulaym, and with him was Umm Salama, and she said: A woman sees in her dreams what a man sees? So Umm Salama said: May your hands be blessed, O Umm Sulaim. You have disgraced women, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “defeating Umm Sulaim. Rather, you may have blessed your hands. Indeed, the best of them The one who asks what it means, “If she sees water, let her wash.” Umm Salamah said: “And women have water?” He said: “Yes, so how can the children resemble them?” Indeed, they are the sisters of men.”

  • Jami’ al-Tirmidhi – جامع الترمذي – Hadith #110

    حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ رُخْصَةً فِي أَوَّلِ الإِسْلاَمِ ثُمَّ نُهِيَ عَنْهَا ‏.‏
    Ubayy bin Ka'b narrated: "Water is for water,' was only permitted in the beginning of Islam. Then it was prohibited."

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ وَهْبٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ خَصْلَتَانِ لاَ أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُمَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَ مَا شَهِدْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم – قَالَ – كُنَّا مَعَهُ فِي سَفَرٍ فَبَرَزَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ وَجَانِبَىْ عِمَامَتِهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ قَالَ وَصَلاَةُ الإِمَامِ خَلْفَ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ فَشَهِدْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَاحْتَبَسَ عَلَيْهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَقَدَّمُوا ابْنَ عَوْفٍ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ ابْنِ عَوْفٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَضَى مَا سُبِقَ بِهِ ‏.‏
    Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah said: "There are two things which I never asked anyone about after I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He was with us on a journey and he went away to relieve himself, then he came and performed Wudu', and he wiped over his forehead and two sides of his 'Imamah, and he wiped over his Khuffs." He said: "And (the other issue) the Imam's Salah behind one of his followers. I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when he was on a journey and time for prayer came. The Prophet (ﷺ) could not join them, so they called the Iqamah and they asked Ibn 'Awf to lead them in prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and offered the remainder of the prayer behinf Ibn 'Awf, then when Ibn 'Awf said the Salah, the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up and completed what he had missed (of the prayer)."

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أُمَّ بَنِي أَبِي طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنْ الْحَقِّ، أَرَأَيْتَ الْمَرْأَةَ تَرَى فِي النَّوْمِ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ، أَتَغْتَسِلُ؟، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ "، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَقُلْتُ : أُفٍّ لَكِ، أَتَرَى الْمَرْأَةُ ذَلِكَ؟ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ :" تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ، فَمِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ؟ "
    Abdullah bin Salih told us, Al-Layth told me, Uqail told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, Urwa bin Al-Zubayr told me, on the authority of Aisha The wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, may God be pleased with her, that she told him that Umm Sulaim, the mother of Banu Abu Talha, may God be pleased with him, had entered upon the Messenger God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: O Messenger of God, God is not ashamed of the truth. Have you seen a woman see in sleep what a man sees? Do you take a bath? He said: “Yes.” Aisha said: So I said: Fuck you, does the woman see that? Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, turned to her and said: “Your right hand is raised, so where does the resemblance come from?”

    حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ‏"‏ إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَعَائِشَةُ وَالْفُقَهَاءِ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِثْلِ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ قَالُوا إِذَا الْتَقَى الْخِتَانَانِ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏.‏
    Aishah narrated that : the Prophet said: "When the circumcised meets the circumcised then Ghusl is required."

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، – وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ – قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ تَخَلَّفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَخَلَّفْتُ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ قَالَ ‏
    "‏ أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِمِطْهَرَةٍ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ يَحْسُرُ عَنْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ فَضَاقَ كُمُّ الْجُبَّةِ فَأَلْقَاهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ فَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ وَعَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَعَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from Hamzah bin Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed behind, and I stayed with him. When he had relieved himself he said: 'Do you have any water with you?' I brought some water to him, and he washed his hands and face, then he started trying to uncover his arms, but the sleeves of his Jubbah were too tight, so he threw it over his shoulders and washed his arms and wiped over his forehead and 'Imamah, and over his Khuff."
