  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #68

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ حَرَكَةً فِي دُبُرِهِ، فَأَشْكَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَحْدَثَ أَوْ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ، فَلَا يَنْصَرِفَنَّ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا، أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا "
    Yahya bin Hassan told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Suhail bin Abi Saleh, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If one of you finds movement in his anus during his prayer, and there is some doubt about whether it has occurred or not, then do not They leave until they hear a sound or smell a breeze.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏
    "‏ لاَ يَبُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ‏.‏
    Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet said: "Let none of you urinate [in still water, then perform Wudu with it."1

  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #67

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغَفَّلِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلاَبِ وَرَخَّصَ فِي كَلْبِ الصَّيْدِ وَالْغَنَمِ وَقَالَ ‏
    "‏ إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الإِنَاءِ فَاغْسِلُوهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَعَفِّرُوهُ الثَّامِنَةَ بِالتُّرَابِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
    It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Al-Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that dogs be killed, but he made an exception for hunting dogs and sheepdogs and said: "If a dog licks a vessel then wash it seven times, and rub it the eighth time with dust."

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَتَوَضَّأُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ "، وَكَانَ أَحَدُنَا يَكْفِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ

    حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ فِي الْفَلاَةِ مِنَ الأَرْضِ وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ وَالدَّوَابِّ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يَحْمِلِ الْخَبَثَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ عَبْدَةُ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقُلَّةُ هِيَ الْجِرَارُ وَالْقُلَّةُ الَّتِي يُسْتَقَى فِيهَا ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ قَالُوا إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يُنَجِّسْهُ شَيْءٌ مَا لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ رِيحُهُ أَوْ طَعْمُهُ وَقَالُوا يَكُونُ نَحْوًا مِنْ خَمْسِ قِرَبٍ ‏.‏
    Ibn Umar narrated: "I heard AlIah's Messenger while he was being asked about water in open areas of the land, and predators and beasts come to it." He said: 'So Allah's Messenger said: 'When the water is two Qullah it does not carry filth.'"

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، وَأَبِي، صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُرِقْهُ ثُمَّ لْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لاَ أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُسْهِرٍ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ فَلْيُرِقْهُ ‏.‏
    It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw (the contents) away and wash it seven times.'"
    Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: I do not know any one who followed 'Ali bin Mushir in narrating it with: "Let him throw it away."

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ سَلْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ، فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا غُصْنًا يَابِسًا فَهَزَّهُ حَتَّى تَحَاتَّ وَرَقُهُ، قَالَ : أَمَا تَسْأَلُنِي : لِمَ أَفْعَلُ هَذَا؟ قُلْتُ لَهُ : لِمَ فَعَلْتَهُ؟، قَالَ : هَكَذَا فَعَلَ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ :" إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ، وَصَلَّى الْخَمْسَ تَحَاتَّتْ ذُنُوبُهُ كَمَا تَحَاتَّ هَذَا الْوَرَقُ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ : # وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ سورة هود آية 114 # إِلَى قَوْلِهِ # ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ سورة هود آية 114 #
    Yahya bin Hassan told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Ali bin Zaid, on the authority of Abu Uthman, he said: I was with Salman, may God be pleased with him. Under a tree, he took a withered branch from it and shook it until its leaves fell apart. He said: Are you not asking me: Why did I do this? I said to him: Why did you do it? He said: This is what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did to me. Then he said: “When a Muslim performs ablution, he does well.” ablution, and the five prayers, his sins will fall away as these leaves fall apart.” Then he said: “And perform the prayer at both ends of the day and at the end of the night.” Surat Hud, verse 114 # To his saying # This is a reminder for those who remember Surah Hud, verse 114 #

    حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ بِئْرِ بُضَاعَةَ وَهِيَ بِئْرٌ يُلْقَى فِيهَا الْحِيَضُ وَلُحُومُ الْكِلاَبِ وَالنَّتْنُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
    "‏ إِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ لاَ يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ جَوَّدَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَلَمْ يَرْوِ أَحَدٌ حَدِيثَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فِي بِئْرِ بُضَاعَةَ أَحْسَنَ مِمَّا رَوَى أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ ‏.‏
    Abu Sa'eed AI-Khudri narrated: "It was said, 'O Allah's Messenger! Shall we use the water of Buda'ah well to perform ablution while it is a well in which menstruation rags, flesh of dogs and the putrid are dumped?" Allah's Messenger said: 'Indeed water is pure, nothing makes it impure.'"

  • Sunan an-Nasa’i – سنن النسائي – Hadith #65

    أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ هِلاَلُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، يُخْبِرُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ ‏.‏
    A similar Hadith was narrated from Abu Hurairah from Prophet (ﷺ).

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ الْعَبْدُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ الْمُؤْمِنُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ، خَرَجَتْ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا بِعَيْنِهِ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ، فَإِذَا غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ، خَرَجَتْ مِنْ يَدَيْهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ بَطَشَتْهَا يَدَاهُ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ نَقِيًّا مِنْ الذُّنُوبِ "
    Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Suhail bin Abi Saleh, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If a Muslim or believing servant performs ablution and washes his face, every sin will leave his face.” He looks at it with his eyes with the water or with the last drop of water, and if he washes his hands, every sin that his hands committed with the water comes out of his hands. Or with the last drop of water until it comes out clean of sins.”
