حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ :" مَا سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَذْكُرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطُّ إِلَّا بَكَى "

Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abi Khalaf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Omar bin Muhammad, on the authority of his father, he said: “I did not hear Ibn Omar mention the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he never cried.”
