Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2904

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ :" لَأَنْ أَرُدَّهُ بِعِيِّهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّفَ لَهُ مَا لَا أَعْلَمُ "
Muhammad bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq Al-Fazari, on the authority of Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Ibn Sirin, on the authority of Humaid bin Abdul Rahman, he said “It is more beloved to me to return him with his own good than to burden him with what I do not know.”
