أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ :" كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا لَبِسَتْكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ يَهْرَمُ فِيهَا الْكَبِيرُ وَيَرْبُو فِيهَا الصَّغِيرُ، إِذَا تُرِكَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ، قِيلَ : تُرِكَتْ السُّنَّةُ "، قَالُوا : وَمَتَى ذَاكَ؟، قَالَ : " إِذَا ذَهَبَتْ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ، وَكَثُرَتْ جُهَلَاؤُكُمْ، وَكَثُرَتْ قُرَّاؤُكُمْ، وَقَلَّتْ فُقَهَاؤُكُمْ، وَكَثُرَتْ أُمَرَاؤُكُمْ، وَقَلَّتْ أُمَنَاؤُكُمْ، وَالْتُمِسَتْ الدُّنْيَا بِعَمَلِ الْآخِرَةِ، وَتُفُقِّهَ لِغَيْرِ الدِّينِ "

Amr ibn Aoun informed us, on the authority of Khalid ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abd God said: “How will you be when a tribulation overwhelms you in which the old grow old and the young grow up in it? If any of it is left out, it is said: It was left out. The Sunnis. They said: When is that? He said: If your scholars disappear, your ignorant people increase, your reciters increase, and your jurists decrease, “And your princes are many, and your trustworthy men are few, and the world is sought after by working for the Hereafter, and seeking understanding of other than religion.”
