أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ :" إِنِّي أَخَافُ، أَوْ أَخْشَى أَنْ أَقِيسَ، فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمِي "

Amr bin Aoun told us, Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Ismail bin Abi Khalid, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Masruq, that he said: “I I am afraid, or I am afraid to measure, and my feet will slip.”
