Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #3012

أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ ، يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ، أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ :" أَبُثُّ الْعِلْمَ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَهُ الرَّجُلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ، وَالْعَبْدُ وَالْحُرُّ، وَالصَّغِيرُ وَالْكَبِيرُ، فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ بِهِمْ، أَخَذْتُهُمْ بِحَقِّي عَلَيْهِمْ "
Mukhlid bin Malik informed us, on the authority of Hajjaj bin Muhammad, on the authority of Laith bin Saad, on the authority of Muawiyah bin Salih, on the authority of Abu Al-Zahiriyah, it is narrated that The hadith is that God said: “I will spread knowledge at the end of time until man and woman, slave and free, young and old, will know it. Then So I did that to them, I took my right upon them.”
