أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَا يَطْلُبُ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ أَحَدٌ لَا يُرِيدُ بِهِ إِلَّا الدُّنْيَا، إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرْفَ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "

Abu Asim told us, Muhammad bin Amara bin Hazm told us, Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman told me, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said He, peace and blessings be upon him: “No one seeks this knowledge who only wants this world, unless God has forbidden him the knowledge of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.”
