أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام لِابْنِهِ :" دَعْ الْمِرَاءِ، فَإِنَّ نَفْعَهُ قَلِيلٌ، وَهُوَ يُهَيِّجُ الْعَدَاوَةَ بَيْنَ الْإِخْوَانِ "

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, Al-Awza’i told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, he said: Suleiman bin Dawud, peace be upon him, said to his son: “Abandon dissent, for it is of little benefit, and it stirs up enmity between brothers.”
