أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامٌ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ :" إِنِّي لَأَسْمَعُ الْحَدِيثَ لَحْنًا، فَأَلْحَنُ اتِّبَاعًا لِمَا سَمِعْتُ "

Muhammad bin Al-Ala informed us, Uthman told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Amara bin Umayr, on the authority of Abu Muammar, he said: “I can hear the hadith A melody, so I composed according to what I heard.”
