أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُخْتَارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا : # إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ سورة فاطر آية 28 #، قَالَ :" مَنْ خَشِيَ اللَّهَ فَهُوَ عَالِمٌ "

Muhammad bin Humayd told us, Ibrahim bin Mukhtar told us, he told us on the authority of Samak bin Harb, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him. From them: #Only those who fear Allah among His servants are scholars. Surat Fatir, verse 28 #, He said: “Whoever fears Allah is knowledgeable.”
