أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَال :" مَنْهُومَانِ لَا يَشْبَعَانِ : طَالِبُ عِلْمٍ، وَطَالِبُ دُنْيَا "

Ismail bin Aban told us, Abdullah bin Idris told us, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Tawus, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, he said: “There are two insatiable cravings: the seeker of knowledge and the seeker of this world.”
