أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيِّ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ :" مُعَلِّمُ الْخَيْرِ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ، حَتَّى الْحُوتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ "

Muhammad bin Uyaynah informed us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq Al-Fazari, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Shimr bin Atiya, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, said: “For the teacher of goodness, everything seeks forgiveness from him, even the fish in the sea.”
