أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ هُوَ الْقُمِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إِذَا رَأَى طَلَبَةَ الْعِلْمِ، قَالَ :" مَرْحَبًا بِطَلَبَةِ الْعِلْمِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْصَى بِكُمْ "

Ismail bin Aban told us, Ya’qub al-Qummi told us, on the authority of Aamir bin Ibrahim, he said: Abu al-Darda’, may God be pleased with him, was If he saw seekers of knowledge, he would say: “Welcome to seekers of knowledge,” and he would say: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, has recommended you.”
